| .....Celebrations were the order of the day on Friday, December 14, at Holy Angels Church as the staff threw a Christmas Luncheon for the Pre-novices before they made their way home for their Christmas break. With the final exams over for this semester at D'Youville College, it was the perfect time to unwind and celebrate. And celebrate they did! Birthdays were the order of the day. First of all one of the directors of the Pre-Novitiate, Father Harry Winter, OMI celebrated his birthday, as well as two of the pre-novices, Eric Villarreal and John Ivas. One of those celebrating their birthday, John Ivas, took advantage of the occasion to mimic their music teacher, Mr. Bob Chambers, during a short post-luncheon fun fest. Father Jim Erving assisted by some of the Pre-Novices put on the Luncheon and the Oblate Community at Holy Angels was he beneficiary. It was a nice break for all of us and allowed us all the opportunity to thank the Pre-novices for all that they have been doing for the community during the first semester of the school year. | ||||
